You finished fixing your [h/c] locks in the mirror, making sure you looked okay. You had on your favorite sparkly [f/c] dress and heels to match. You didn’t exactly want to look nice, but you had to. You promised Jane, Roxy, and Jake that you would look your best for the concert. The only reason you were going is because you wanted to meet their best friend who they talked about so much and loved so dearly. You just wanted to see if all the things they had said were true.

Jane burst into the bathroom. “C’mon [Name], it’s almost time to go! Don’t make me get Jake to come and drag you to the car.” Jane wasn’t one for being late. You sighed, set your brush on the bathroom counter, and walked out with your friend.

The two of you walked to the car and each jumped in the backseat. Jake was driving and Roxy was sitting on the passenger’s side in the front.

“Oh, I’m so excited to see Dirk!” Jane grinned. “Sorry for rushing you, [Name]. We all just miss him a bunch, since he’s been on tour for so long.” You nodded, thinking about how much they missed their friend. You were hoping that you liked him as well.

It took you guys awhile to get to the concert venue, but soon enough, you made it. The four of you eagerly got out of the car and headed into the concert hall… thing. You weren’t really sure what to call it, but you were just happy to be there.

Everyone gave their tickets to the collector and went inside. The place was huge and the stage was probably bigger! There were all kinds of people partying around; everyone was dressed in such odd clothing, you weren’t really sure if you were dressed right or not.

Jane had to grab your arm and drag you along to the front row.

Once seated in the front row, you watched the curtains open on the stage and out popped some girl with long black hair and glasses. She had on a ridiculous outfit, similar to everyone else’s. As she began to sing, you could hear Jane squealing more and more, obviously just waiting for Dirk to come out on stage. Suddenly, you heard a saxophone begin to play.

“There he is!” Jake shouted excitedly. He pointed at someone.

You followed the pointed finger to the saxophone player; a boy with blonde hair and extreme anime shades. His outfit made him look pretty hot, in your opinion.

Wait, should you really be thinking this about this guy who Jane so obviously liked?

Meh, it wouldn’t hurt.

Jane, Roxy, and Jake cheered for Dirk while you just kind of stared at him. You didn’t mean to, but then again, you couldn’t help it. He was just… amazing. You wondered what his personality was like. Maybe you could like him even more.

You examined his actions on stage more closely. It looked almost as if he was… humping the saxophone?

Your face turned red and you decided not to think about it.

After the concert was finished, you and your friends cheered for Dirk as he and the rest of the people walked backstage. The curtain closed, and everyone immediately started to leave.

Jake grinned. “Everyone got their backstage passes?”

You held up the laminated pass around your neck with your name on it. Everyone else did the same. You all made a small line and walked backstage together.

Backstage looked even bigger than it did outside. There were so many people getting in and out of costume, coat racks were rolling everywhere, and random props sat all around the place. You were pretty confused as to where exactly you were supposed to go.

“Hey guys,” Spoke a voice behind you.

You and the group all spun around to see Dirk. Jane squealed and hugged him. Roxy attempted to hug him… but fell over from drunk-ness. Jake patted his back. You just stood there kind of awkwardly, not really sure what to do. You were hoping that your staring during the concert wasn’t too noticeable, but then again, who would notice you in a crowd of over a million people?

Jane retracted from the hug and gestured towards you. “Oh, this is [Name], our friend. We met her after you left on tour.”

You couldn’t see Dirk’s eyes because of his shades, but you could feel them looking you over. You swallowed hard and shyly waved to him. “Hello…”

Instead of just nodding at you as you expected him to do, he smirked.

The hot guy.

Smirked.

At you.

You had a mental nosebleed moment.

“Hey [Name], I’m Dirk. You probably already knew that. I’m sure they don’t stop talking about me.”

You glanced over at Jane, who seemed to be blushing at that. You couldn’t help but giggle. You nodded at him, knowing that it was true. They did talk about him quite a bit.
Suddenly, there was a voice on the intercom in the backstage area. “Dirk Strider, come to dressing room 109!”

Dirk blinked. “Oh shit, I’ve got to go.” He waved to the group, but then put his eyes directly on you. “Bye, [Name].” He winked and walked off towards the dressing rooms.

He winked at you.

HE WINKED AT YOU.

You could feel your cheeks heat up from the excitement.

Roxy laughed a drunken laugh. “You lie- like him, d-don’t youuuu?”
