You sat in your rickety old fishing boat that rocked back in forth in the ocean’s current. While your father was out, you had decided to grab a snack and set out to sea for an hour or two. That was one of the perks of living on the shore; you could play castaway whenever you pleased. A cooler of water (and maybe some beer) sat to your left, and a sack of sandwiches sat to your right.
“Could life get any better?” You mumbled, kicking back to get a good view of the sky. The blue was beautiful at this time of day.
The current splashed a few drips of saltwater into the boat, making you giggle from the cold. The entire scene was so calming. If only your father was there to experience it, too. He was surely missing out on a relaxing afternoon.
Suddenly, a large wave swept at least a gallon of seawater into your fishing boat.
You squealed in surprise and quickly sat up to survey the damage. The wood turned a darker brown and your [f/c] sandals were squelching in the puddle of water. What kind of fish could be swimming around and make that big of a wave? Cautiously, you peeked over the edge of the boat.
The head of a boy popped out of the water.
“Oh my god!” You jumped, nearly toppling out of the boat yourself. The boy chuckled, eyeing you curiously. Once you regained your composure, you glared at him. “Apparently someone doesn’t care about the well being of others.” Your [e/c] orbs were burning with fury.
“Sorry,” He said casually, “I was just takin’ a swim and noticed your boat. I don’t see a lot of people hangin’ around here, so I figured I’d come say hello.” The boy rested his arms on the edge of the boat. His arms seemed to be colored a tint of grey.
You frowned, but finally lost eye contact with him. “Well, you could’ve been nicer about it.”
The boy reached out a hand to you. “I’m Eridan Amporra, the greatest swimmer in the South Pacific.” He gave a cocky smirk. You weren’t sure whether to sneer or gag.
Your eyes scanned the open ocean around you. The shore was quite a ways away, and you didn’t see anymore boats around. “Only an idiot would come out here without a boat,” You muttered, rolling your eyes.
“I live in the water, I don’t need a dumb boat.” Eridan nudged your crummy rowboat, making it creek and sway. You clutched the seat for balance.
“Haha, very funny,” You casually flipped the cooler open, ready to grab a beer. “Seriously though, what did you come out on?”
Suddenly, a violet tail popped out of the water behind the boy. “I told you, I live in the water. Aren’t you listenin’ to me?”
Your eyes went wide and your feet kicked the bow of the boat, making it flip over in response. It sent you, along with your sandwiches and drinks, into the fifty degree waters of the South Pacific ocean. You leaned on the bottom of the boat and stared idly at Eridan. How could he possibly be a fishman?
“Y-You’ve got to be kidding…” You whispered, your teeth chattering from the freezing temperatures of the ocean. “I mean, you’ve g-got to be…”
Eridan swam over to you, his movements graceful. He casually flipped the boat back to face topside, and met eyes with you again. “I’m not, girly, now get in the damn boat.”
Without another word, you climbed in. Before you could even sit back down, you saw that he was swimming away. Your eyes widened. “B-Bye!” And your voice barely mustered a second, “thank you.”
You swore you saw him smirk from a mile away.

Swimming Kankri x Reader
(y/n) laughed as she grabbed Kankri pulling him along as she climbed over the gate. Unbeknownst to her, he got a fine view of her bathing suit covered rump. She hopped over the fence and stood on the other side whispering to him.
“Okay Kanny, just climb on and throw your leg over the top, then climb on down.”
The candy red blooded troll scowled and began to climb the gate without a word. (y/n) had told him that they were going swimming.
She just didn’t mention that they had to break in to do it.
“(y-y/n), this is very triggering! What if we get caught! #penalty #cantbelieveimdoingthis #trespassing #breakingande

How you could see after looking at something so bright would confuse you for the remainder of your life, but the man in front of you would haunt you. A typical greaser, white t shirt and slicked back hair with a cigarette hanging from their lips, a bit different.
